Our Pastor

Alma says, “I was not born the daughter of a sharecropper. I was not born in the hills of Mississippi. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. But I was “born-ded” a long time ago in Detroit Michigan.” Alma moved to Sacramento when she was three years old with her sister Carlis, and her parents, M.T. and Mary Alice Walton. Later two brothers, Myron and Rufus, were born in Sacramento.

Currently she serves as pastor of New Bethel Church, located at 360 Morey Avenue, in Sacramento, CA. Alma has also served as California State Superintendent for the House of God for the last five years.

If you would like to know these facts, they are listed here for your information. Pastor Alma’s hesitates to list her accomplishments and titles – she says, “it is all to the glory of God. I prefer to be remembered as His servant…and yours.”

God has blessed Alma to sing and preach the unadulterated gospel. God has anointed her to open up the word in a realistic, applicable, and sometimes humorous way. (She believes God has a sense of humor).

She has traveled to many areas of the country and out of the country – to minister and testify of God’s healing, deliverance, and restoration of various conditions and life situations.

She solicits your prayers that God will always use her to be a blessing to His people.
